Auction Help

We want you to have fun and to be successful with our online Goosecross Wine Auction.

We thought a few tips and tricks might help you achieve those goals. Should you need additional assistance, please feel free to contact us and we’ll help make it easy for you.

• Review the Auction page for items on which you would like to bid.
• All items are listed with a minimum opening bid.
• Once you identify the item you are interested in, click the link that says “Click here to Bid“.
• A new screen will open that provides the item details. Click the link that says, “Refresh Current Bid”.
• Please enter your name, email address and bid amount as a whole number with two decimal places (no dollar sign is required). Please note that the name you enter will be displayed on the Auction page, so you can bid using the first initial of your last name in place of your entire last name if you prefer some privacy (please do not use an alias as you will be disqualified from the bidding).
• The bidding instructions will include the minimum amount required to place a bid. The amount entered is considered the maximum bid and the system will automatically bid for you in the necessary increments as others bid on the same item up to the maximum you entered.
• You will receive a green bannered message that says, “Congratulations!” when successful. If another higher bid has already been placed by a previous bidder, you will receive a red bannered message that says “Sorry!” and what is required to bid successfully.
• Bidding activity will display under “Current Bids“, however, if you place a bid that is not accepted because a previous bidder placed a higher bid, your bid will not be shown. In this case, Refresh Current Bid and then enter your new increased bid.
• You will receive a confirmation email and you will also be alerted when you are outbid by another bidder.
• Placing a bid or using the “Buy it Now” feature constitutes an agreement with Goosecross (and courtesy to other bidders) to purchase the Auction item.
• You will receive an email with a link to Paypal and further instructions when you are the winning bidder. You may login to your Paypal account or use this service as a guest and pay using a credit card.
• If you purchase more than one item, please contact the winery directly so that we can consolidate items for shipping at a savings to you.
