Colleen’s Kitchen

After many years of cooking for my family, I’m pleased to say that we have compiled a comprehensive and versatile recipe collection. I love the challenge of pairing different dishes with Goosecross wine, so I have personally tested each recipe to be sure it’s complete. My recipes not overly complicated, seasonally delicious with readily available ingredients, and they won’t leave you with too much clean-up. I sincerely hope you enjoy them.

½ cup sugar

1 tablespoon cocoa powder

½ cup brown sugar

For the crisp: Toss the berries with the cornstarch, sugar, and cocoa. Put the berry mixture into (6) 4 oz ramekins, packing down the fruit.

For the topping: Using a pastry knife, cut the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles small peas. Add the oatmeal, brown sugar and cinnamon and mix well.

Spread the topping on the fruit and bake in a 375 degree oven for about 30 minutes until bubbly and the crust is golden brown.
