Job Description:
Goosecross Cellars in Yountville, Napa Valley, is looking for an experienced, dynamic leader to manage and grow our multiple wine clubs. The Goosecross Wine Club Manager will be responsible for driving revenue and profitability for over six different wine clubs and internet ecommerce. Applicant should have previous wine club management experience and be ready to take that experience to a new level.
This position requires someone who is sociable, extremely detail-oriented, able to work independently but well-mannered within a team, and can handle a fast paced and dynamic work environment. The candidate will have strong interpersonal communications, excellent organizational and analytical skills, and keen problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
The Goosecross Wine Club Manager will offer a complete evaluation of existing clubs, and restructure or create an absolutely new club system in the efforts to maximize retention and reduce attrition while engaging a broader audience.
This person will plan and execute a comprehensive wine club program including payment processing, collections, shipment schedule, inventory allocation, wine selections, newsletters and marketing collateral, and merchandising for each club. Responsibilities include the creation of different retention programs, reward platforms for levels of loyalty in the club, and promoting special wine clubs.
The Goosecross Wine Club Manager will work with the Director of Hospitality to increase member sign-ups, maintain members through highly personalized customer service, design thoughtful and targeted marketing campaigns, meet and entertain club members, and plan and produce all wine club events.
The Goosecross Wine Club Manager will also work in conjunction with the Controller and the Director of Hospitality to provide weekly club metrics and recommendations to maximize club membership numbers and increase reorders. Reporting duties will include club enrollment statistics, analyzing club sales, implementing club survey responses into an action plan, and measuring club growth.
Qualification Requirements:
- Grow club and internet sales
- At all times provide exceptional customer service through courteous and professional oral and written communication
- Ability to perform multiple tasks and remain focused and organized
- Ability to be creative and handle a fast paced environment while meeting deadlines
- Management of club wine allocation
- Develop effective promotions and sales collateral
- Train and motivate tasting room staff to build genuine customer relationships
- Train and motivate tasting room staff to sell clubs
- Develop and utilize metrics to measure success
- Supervise Wine Club & Customer Service Assistant
- Help plan and host member events
- Maintain current and comprehensive knowledge of all wine club products and services
- Maintenance of wine club and telemarketing databases and reports
- Proactively identify and resolve customer issues with thorough research and follow-through
- Ability and willingness to up-sell
- Promote and sell all wine club special events and promotional wine offers
- Assist with internet coordination• Create wine club written materials, including letters, newsletters, emails, etc.
- Respond to customer inquires via telephone or written correspondence in a timely manner, up-selling wherever appropriate
- Assist with any department-related tasks or projects and other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- At least 5 years Retail / Wine or Food Club experience
- Ability to perform multiple tasks and remain focused and organized
- Positive team player
Physical and or other requirements:
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 40lbs (case of wine)
- Able to ascend and descend stairs
- Able to bend, stoop, push, kneel, reach, talk, hear, use hands to type
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods
- Ability to work overtime and alternate hours when needed including weekends
